Bader Awwad AlBalawi is a photographer and writer based on Khobar, Saudi Arabia. His work focuses on travel and street with the sense of documentation and observation of people in different contexts. After his graduation in 2007. he worked as a petroleum engineer in Saudi Aramco for more than severn years. in 2015, he co-founded Marsala Studio delivering visual content as a photographer and director for major Saudi and International companies. He also received an MBA from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, in 2018.

Bader is a keen traveler and art collector. He is interested in the subject of Art and Culture in which he wrote several articles about. His focus as an artist is to communicate his observations, epically in the context of transition and transformation, to the public through his art works, embracing the different perspectives of the Saudi Arabian society. In 2014, he published his first photobook, “Road to the North: 85 Scenes You May Spot on Your Way to the Northwest Saudi Arabia”.
